INHIBITOR AL

METALWORKING FLUID ADDITIVE

 

INHIBITOR AL is an aluminum corrosion-inhibiting additive which can be used in central filtration systems and individual machine reservoirs to temporarily regain corrosion and staining control in metalworking fluid mixes.

 

OPERATIONS:

 

Add INHIBITOR AL to metalworking fluid mixes as directed by CIMCOOL® Technical Services.

 

APPLICATION:

 

Pour INHIBITOR AL directly into the “clean” side of a central filtration system where contamination is the lowest and will be least likely to reduce its effectiveness. For individual machines, add directly to the sump (machine reservoir).

 

INHIBITOR AL is highly alkaline and must be added to metalworking fluid mix before use. Add slowly to avoid splattering. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, mucous membranes and clothing.

 

RECOMMENDED STARTING DILUTIONS

 

FOR INDUSTRIAL USE ONLY

 

Recommended Starting Dilution	0.1% (1,000)
Typical Operating Range	0.1% (1:1,000) to 0.2% (1:500)
