METALWORKING FLUID ADDITIVE
INHIBITOR 42 is an additive used to increase ferrous corrosion control. INHIBITOR 42 can be added to any water-based metalworking fluid mix.
OPERATIONS:
In most cases proper concentration and routine makeup will provide the necessary long-term corrosion protection. However, as metalworking fluid systems age, especially in central systems, there may be a need to use and additive such as INHIBITOR 42 to boost corrosion protection. This can be used to counteract the buildup of corrosive ions such as chlorides and sulfates.
APPLICATION:
Follow the recommended dilution range (see below). Do not add excessive amounts of INHIBITOR 42 since it will reduce product mildness (increase fluid alkalinity) and may increase residue formation (tackiness). The CIMCOOL® Lab can monitor the quantity of INHIBITOR 42 in a metalworking fluid as needed.
