Synthetic (no petroleum oil) water dilutable colloidal pigmented compound for deep drawing

 

DESCRIPTION

 

Houghto-Draw 756-A is a petroleum oil free, white, creamy paste type drawing compound. It is heavily pigmented with a colloidal pigment to provide a more complete layer of product between work piece and the die. The product shows excellent lubricity for deep drawing carbon and stainless steel. Houghto-Draw 756-A is also excellent on aluminum, copper and brass. Product will not stain and reduces scratching, as compared with coarse pigments.

 

Houghto-Draw 756-A has been used in deep drawing, cold heading and cold forging operations. When diluted with water, it mixes easily; intermittent agitation may be required. Product may also be diluted with 25% oil by volume and still will emulsify in water.
