METALWORKING FLUID

DESCRIPTION

CIMTECH 200 metalworking fluid is recommended for machining and grinding of ferrous metals.

APPLICATION

CIMTECH 200 can be used on most ferrous alloys such as cast iron, tool steels and carbon steels. It should not be used on magnesium alloys or non-ferrous materials.

CIMTECH 200 is designed for moderate duty machining applications such as milling, drilling, and turning. It can also be used in light to moderate duty grinding operations such as surface, double disc, and roll grinding.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

CIMTECH 200 is especially well suited for applications where foam and ferrous corrosion control are critical in individual machines or central systems.

SETTLING PROPERTIES:

Excellent settling properties in cast iron systems. Fines settle readily, keeping the mix clean, which keeps fines from marring the surface of the work-piece and keeps filters from clogging.

EXCELLENT RANCIDITY CONTROL:

CIMTECH 200 is very resistant to bacterial and mold growth.

FOAM CONTROL:

The product is low foaming, even under high pressure.

The product is stable in hard or soft water.

RECOMMENDED STARTING DILUTIONS:

CIMTECH 200 is to be mixed with water for use. Always add concentrate to water. Fluid may be more difficult to mix when water temperature is below 55 F (13 C). Add no other materials to the concentrate or mix unless approved by your CIMCOOL® District Manager.

CONCENTRATION:

BCG Titration, Total Alkalinity or Refractometer can be used.

The Refractometer Factor is 3.2.

Multiply the scale reading obtained on your CIMCOOL® Refractometer by this factor to obtain the mix concentration in percent. Calibrate the refractometer so that it reads 0.0 with water before testing the sample mix. Remove gross contaminants from the sample mixes before testing. A refractometer is only recommended for use in checking the concentration of a fresh charge.
