DESCRIPTION

 

CIMPERIAL 20-8SX is a premium soluble oil metalworking fluid.

 

APPLICATION

 

CIMPERIAL 20-8SX was developed for used on carbon steels, high speed steel, cast steels, alloy steels, tool steel, stainless steel, titanium, cast iron and most aluminum alloys. Not recommended for use on magnesium alloys. It is designed for heavy-duty operations.

LUBRICITY:

 

CIMPERIAL 20-8SX contains a unique blend of sulfurized and chlorinated Extreme Pressure (EP) lubricant additives to perform a wide variety of machining and grinding applications.

 

MICROBIAL CONTROL:

 

CIMPERIAL 20-8SX microbial control package extends fluid life for long-lasting, trouble-free performance.

 

COST EFFECTIVE:

 

CIMPERIAL 20-8SX provides higher productivity and improved cleanliness compared to straight oils. Avoids housekeeping problems and fire hazards of straight oils.

 

STABILITY:

 

CIMPERIAL 20-8SX makes a very stable mix and can be used in applications where hard water build-up is a problem.

 

WASTE TREATABLE:

 

CIMPERIAL 20-8SX is compatible with most conventional waste treatment methods.

 

LOW FOAMING:

 

CIMPERIAL 20-8SX provides excellent foam control.

 

RECOMMENDED STARTING DILUTIONS

 

CIMPERIAL 20-8SX is to be mixed with water for use. Always add concentrate to water. Fluid may be more difficult to mix when water temperature is below 55°F. Add no other materials to the concentrate or mix unless approved by your CIMCOOL® District Manager.

 

Grinding	5% - 10% (1:20 to 1:10)
Machining	5% - 10% (1:20 to 1:10)

 

CONCENTRATION

 

Non-solvent Titration, Total Alkalinity, CIMCHEK™ Test Strip or Refractometer can be used.

 

The Refractometer Factor is 1.0

 

A refractometer is only recommended for use in checking the concentration of a fresh charge.

 

Multiply the scale reading obtained on your CIMCOOL® Refractometer by this factor to obtain the mix concentration in percent. Calibrate the refractometer so that it reads 0.0 with water before testing the sample mix. Remove gross contaminants from the sample mixes before testing.

HANDLING AND STORAGE

 

If frozen, thaw completely at room temperature prior to use. Inside storage is recommended.
