EXOMAX P 2510

A NON-SILICATED SOAK TANK CLEANING COMPOUND DESIGNED PRIMARILY FOR CLEANING OF ALUMINUM

 

EXOMAX P 2510 formerly known as Cerfa-Kleen 5379 is an alkaline liquid soak tank cleaning compound designed to remove lapping compounds, polishes, grinding fluids, and general shop soils.  It will not attack aluminum or aluminum alloys.  EXOMAX P 2510 is free rinsing and will not leave a residue which could effect finishing operations, such as plating.  This feature is particularly critical in the computer disc industry.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

 

EXOMAX P 2510 is designed to be used as a soak cleaner at concentrations of 2 to 15% by volume, depending on the soil being removed and metal being processed.  Concentration and temperature guidelines are as follows:

 

Aluminum	2 to 6%	70 - 140°F
Ferrous Metals	5 to 15%	70 - 180°F

 

TITRATION CONTROL

 

A working bath is controlled as follows:

 

          1.    Take 25 ml. bath sample

          2.    Fill buret with 0.1N HCl

          3.    Add four to six drops bromophenol blue indicator

          4.    Titrate to yellow endpoint and record mls of titrant

 

1.9 mls. = 1% Cerfa-Kleen 5379

Removing lapping compounds, polishes, and grinding fluids from computer discs.	EXOMAX P 2510 at room temperature and 3% concentration performs exceptionally well.
