High quality active sulfur cutting oils
DESCRIPTION
Houghton Garia Oils are light colored, anti-mist, active sulfur cutting oils designed for use in moderate to severe machining operations. Garia cutting oils are available in different EP levels and viscosity grades to cover a wide variety of machining operations and metals.
Houghton Garia and the Houghton Garia chlorine free “M Series” are transparent, light colored, active sulfur cutting oils formulated using high quality refined base stocks with a naturally high viscosity index. The Garia product line varies in viscosity and extreme pressure level to cover the widest range of machining operations and conditions. Both the “CM Series” and “M-Series” of Houghton Garia cutting oils contain unique synergistic extreme pressure additive systems that readily react at the chip-tool interface to form extremely effective boundary lubricating films which reduce frictional heat and prevent metal-to-metal contact of the tool and workpiece. With the exceptions of Houghton Garia 422CM-36 and Houghton Garia 422M-36, all of the product family contain fatty oil additives which increase the lubricity and provides better surface finish of work-pieces. All of these cutting oils possess excellent anti-wear and anti-weld properties to maximize tool life and minimize machine downtime.
Houghton Garia 621M-36 is useful in an extremely wide range of applications and are particularly useful in difficult applications where surface finish is of extreme importance. Houghton Garia 621M-36 is particularly useful in form grinding applications and in deep hole drilling operations of metals and alloys with very low machinability ratings.
FEATURES/ BENEFITS
· Light transparent color and low odor properties
· Excellent lubricity and extreme pressure properties.
· Chip-to-tool welding (built-up edge) minimization
· Increased tool life
· Closer tolerances
· Better finish on parts
· Corrosion/rust protection of part and machine
· Low smoke/mist tendencies
· Enhanced lubricity provides extended tool life and reduces tooling cost.
· Provides improved part finish which reduces overall cost through reduced rework and scrap rates
· Allows grinding wheels to run clean with less loading which saves money by extending time between wheel dressing and wheel changes.
